Seattle: Story of the Haymarket Eight at Vermillion Gallery [Aug 10]

sketch of the Haymarket anarchist witch trial

From BH:

  • FRI, Aug 10 – 6pm.
  • SAT, Aug 11 – 7pm.
  • Vermillion Art Gallery – 1508 11th Ave.

101 years since iconic anarchist visited Seattle on a lecture tour, we are bringing her back along with Adolph Fischer, one of the Haymarket Eight, to tell the story of the Haymarket Incident in their own words. After the Incident, eight anarchists were rounded up and falsely convicted. Four were hung. One committed suicide in jail, and the other three were eventually pardoned by the governor of Illinois.

Hope you can come out and join us Friday August 10th at 6pm or Saturday August 11th at 7pm at the Vermillion Gallery on Capitol Hill for the compelling and very human stories of Emma Goldman and Adolph Fischer.

Also appearing: ‘Return of the 20th Century Man’, featuring B. Hutton. What would you do with a time machine?
